Our Proprietary Essential Oil Blend for Painless
The blending of essential oils is very similar to a composer writing a musical score: it is the first thing you experience when you open the bottle, and we spent countless hours formulating a scent that would first perform functionally in terms of benefits offered, and second have a pleasing scent. Bottom notes of Frankincense and Sandalwood allow Lavender, Bergamot, Bulgarian Rose and Orange to dance playfully on top and usher you into preparation for what you are about to experience once you apply Painless to a painful area: relief.
Painless starts with an infusion of herbs such as turmeric, valerian, devil’s claw, Manjistha and Arjuna and those are steeped in organic Grape Seed Oil for over six weeks. Then, the infused herb oil is added to organic Hemp Oil, Hemp Oil Extract, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Oil, Clove Oil Extract, and Borage Oil along with essential oils such as Sandalwood and Rose oil from the Kazanlak region of Bulgaria, and combined (emulsified) into a truly delightful pain relieving lotion. The scent is bold and bright with tones of citrus and deep notes from rare woods but what lies underneath is an even bigger story.
Why is MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) so important in our Lotion?
MSM is a molecule which has a Sulfur atom in the middle of it, and in this form, it is the easiest and most efficient way for our body to absorb sulfur. Sulfur is important in formation of cartilage, tendons and ligaments. Most importantly for sufferers of osteo arthritis, the lack of sulfur in our body leads to a breakdown in cartilage, as well as stress on our joints as we age. While we can’t change the aging process, we can get more sulfur in the form of MSM to your affected joints. We believe, by combining an application of Painless with heat for 30 minutes to the area applied, will greatly help ease the discomfort associated with osteo arthritis.
Why do we use Magnesium Oil in our Lotion?
Here’s the bad news: less than 60% of Americans obtain enough magnesium in their diet. The food we eat has been raised in depleted soil, so available magnesium becomes less concentrated in our food supply.
Magnesium deficiency can be detected by several symptoms: fatigue, cramps, muscle pain, inflammation, insomnia, stress and hypertension, among others. Eating a banana is not enough… and taking a magnesium supplement has its own risks, as it can trigger diarrhea in a number of people.
